"Cozy little town, quiet and pitoresk. Gasthaus Emmi is located central in the town, but still has a beautiful location with an open field behind. Great garden with swimmingpool, playground for kids, rabbits and hens. Breakfast very good, local products and fresh eggs. Clean rooms."

When it was raining a bit water dripping inside from roof. But it’s ok bcs I think that’s drawback from the building design.

Intermittent electricity due to poor infrastructure in Mount Hagen. The room is outside off a veranda so when it rains and the wind blows you might also get wet when going inside to use the toilet. I would have preferred a firmer mattress and slightly larger room.

"Rooms are spread over several terraces with lots of flowers. We were on the top and had a great view. Being at elevation, it's nice and cool at night. No fans needed. Great new showers with good hot water. They have a pump system through which there is still water when the power is out. A generator is turned on if there is a power cut in the morning or evening. The restaurant is very good. During lunch it is particularly well visited. For breakfast and dinner it's primarily hotel guests. Great breakfast with lots of fruits and good bread. Dinner was a daily changing dish by a daily rotating local chef. Large parking lot. Nearby attractions are Monte Café and Cascata de São Nicolau."

We arrived right on the day of a big storm which primarily hit the highlands. For the next few days CST, the telephone company, was everywhere fixing lines. There was no wifi for the whole two days we were at the hotel. It is possible that this was a consequence of the storm. We made it work with mobile data. The hotel sells credits if you have a CST Sim card.

"Our group of 20 had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stellas in Ziemupe. The holiday home exceeded our expectations, with 10 spacious bedrooms that perfectly accommodated each couple. The jacuzzi was a fantastic addition, and having a private beach just 400 meters away was a dream! We spent a beautiful day and night enjoying the peaceful surroundings and watching a stunning sunset by the sea. The two kitchens, one large and one smaller, made meal preparations easy and seamless for our group. "Der Frühstück war aus lokalen Produkten, ganz fein und serviert direkt im schönen Garten. C’est le plus beau et agréable endroit pour passer un moment de joie. L’accueil est adorable et sincère. L’histoire de la maison comble le reste. C’est tout simplement un musée vivant , qu’on ne peut pas oublié. Aucun compliment peut exprimer notre joie ici. "The owners were right next door and very accomodating. They were very nice people.The apartment was clean and everything was provided. The air conditioner worked well and there was a little outdoor porch with a breeze. There was also a washing machine in the apartment."

Thibaud is rather isolated and buses are few and far between.

"The staff was very friendly, helpful & efficient Lots of good places to eat, supermarket with imported goods & sundry shops all at walking distance There's a mini refrigerator, ironing board & washing machine for such a good price!"

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times

It's noisy in the morning. It may not be comfortable for the guys who like to sleep for a long time in the high season. Also, our apartment has a separate balcony from the other room, so if your neighbors like to smoke in the morning, you will feel that as well. But if you are an early bird, this pearl is for you.

Nothing everything is perfect
