"We choose Barrys to get away from all the stress and commerce that always follows you when one travel to touristic places. Barrys is located far away from anything. It is you together with the silence, waves, and lovely staff. We took the boat from Zanzibar and stayed for four days. It is one hour drive to Saadani national park where you can see all animals but Rhinos and Cheetas. Our safari was a great animal experience with packed breakfast and lunch prepared by Deodatha and her staff. You will be taken care of in the best possible way by Barry, Deodatha, and staff."

"Die Lage ist ein Traum, abgeschieden und komplett ruhig. Man hat das Gefühl der Strand gehört einem alleine. Ohne Touristen und ohne lästige Beachboys, wer entspannte Tage in Ruhe genießen möchte ist hier absolut richtig. Wirklich ein kleines Paradies. Kilometerlange Strandspaziergäne in absoluter Ruhe, das gibt es sonst nirgends. Das Personal ist spitze und geht auf alle Wünsche ein. Besonders die Hotelmanagerin Deodatha ist nicht nur eine Organisationstalent, die unterstützt wie und wo es nur geht sondern sie ist auch eine ausgezeichnete Köchin. Das gesamte Essen war einfach nur hervorragend! Wir haben den Aufenthalt extrem genossen. Asante sana 😘😘😘 liebe Deodatha"

"There was nothing we didn't like. Those are just hints for improvements. Bathrooms : work very well but getting a bit old Hot water : not always available Value for money : absolutely no regret but some hotels in Zanzibar offer more comfort for a similar rate"

"Basen był w remoncie , mieliśmy pecha , że akurat w trakcie naszej wizyty , ale właściciel Bary nam to wynagrodził . Trudny dojazd z lotniska , no ale cóż to przecież Afryka , mimo wszystko warto było jechać bezdrożami bo nagroda w postaci pięknych widoków i pięknej plaży na nas czekała ."

"Le lieu est sublime à l’écart des sentiers battus et de l’agitation touristique. La literie est très confortable et les chambres sont grandes. Nous avions celles donnant directement sur la mer. Plage très agréable pour se promener comme un Robinson. Mais la grande différence vient du personnel de l’hôtel au petit soin. La cuisine du restaurant est mémorable, la meilleure que nous ayons dégusté en Tanzanie grâce à son chef hyper aussi professionnel que généreux. Merci à toute l’équipe de Deo!"

"Die Anreise sind 90 km von der asphaltierten A14. In der Trockenzeit 3h Wir haben für die Rückfahrt zur Hauptstraße 6h gebraucht wegen einer unterspülten Brücke. Die Straße von Bagamoyo nach Pangani ist im Bau. Fertigstellung ungewiss. Das nicht erwähnen von Zufahrt Schwierigkeiten ist aber bei fast allen Lodges in Tanzania und Kenia System immanent."
