"Despite the unusual circumstances of our stay, Biosphere Beach turned out to be a good surprise. Due to the unfortunate crisis in the Middle East, we had to reorganize our Maldives journey and manage rising travel costs. Thankfully, Biosphere Beach fully delivered. The hotel is brand new, beautifully designed, fresh, and very comfortable, with bright and pleasant rooms. What truly made our stay, however, was the team. Their warmth, kindness, smiles, and constant attention made all the difference and made us feel genuinely cared for. A heartfelt thank you to Aleena, Jon, Habib, the Chef, the housekeeping team, and all the other staff members for making our stay so special."

"Had a great holiday in here. Got one of the best hospitality, rooms were clean and right infront seaview and 1 min away from the beach. If you're looking for a genuine Maldivian experience with breathtaking beaches and adventurous excursions, this is the place to be. We left with full hearts, countless memories, and a promise to return. 😇🥰"

"Nice place, nice staff & good food. No complaints the building is new build and up to western standard and the staff was super friendly. Scuba diving is just beyond good, if you want to see Manta or Whale Sharks I can't imagine a better place - definitely the place to go, if you have +30 dives and are going for spectacular SCUBA diving."

The construction is not fully finished and there was small unfinished parts of the building - not major things just finish.

"Lovely and helpful staff members, clean and spacious room. Shampoo, body wash and toothpaste provided. We were given 2 bottles of water upon arrival. We skipped breakfast as we weren’t feeling too good but somebody came to check on us before breakfast finished to ensure that we didn’t miss out, which was very thoughtful."

No hot water but this was not a problem for our one night stay.

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Everything is brand new, very clean, and beautifully maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcome. The food deserves a special mention — breakfasts and dinners were absolutely incredible. Everything was delicious, and there was something new to try every day. We also really enjoyed the massage, it was one of the highlights of our stay. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the beach probably the closest hotel to it. There are also free sunbeds available at the nearby water sports area, which was a great bonus. The mattresses are very comfortable, and the bedding is of excellent quality we slept so well every night. The furniture is stylish and gives a true 5-star hotel feeling. Highly recommended!"

"It was close to where I needed to be, everything was walking distance which was positive. The room was very clean and the perfect stay for a few nights. Bed was very comfortable. Staff member called a taxi for me to the airport in the morning, it was a fair price and I had no troubles catching my flight on time."

Shower was cold water.

"Good room . All facilities working. Very clean. As long as Master Chef Himanshu Thakor is in charge of the kitchen guests can be assured to have a very good dining experience. Himanshu is also very helpful in other respects."

For a location like Kaashidhoo the hotel was a tad overpriced. The island has numerous guesthouses but hardly any tourists so it doesn't t pay to be booking in advance. Prices drop substantially if you book just shortly before your departure. For the price I paid I would have expected a coconut welcome drink as in similarly priced establishments and fresh juice instead of squash at breakfast. It doesn't t help that the absentee owner is based in Male and any requests need to be first approved by him. The island does not really have a worthwhile house reef so if you want beach access for snorkeling this isn t the island to choose . The bikini beach is not suitable for snorkeling, the local beach only at high tide but even then it is limited as 1. There can be a strong sideways current and 2. The reef is just too shallow to swim above. You would also need to be covered up to snorkel as many locals use this beach. The real drawback of Kaashidhoo is the amount of rubbish just everywhere. Whilst you see women sweeping the beaches and streets, nobody ever picks up the rubbish blown into the verges or thrown into the greenery. Even the plantations are full of plastic rubbish. Building rubble is being carted onto the beaches and left there. You come across many inofficial rubbish heaps apart from the large waste site near the " dolphin view point" on Google.maps. the indigenous forest with its endemic plants has all but disappeared as full scale clearance seems to be condoned by the authorities. The famous Buddhist ruins have been left to overgrow. Don t expect the site - if you can find it! - to look like the photos you see on the Internet.
