"Gmundnerberghaus is a hidden gem. The cottage is incredibly tidy, cozy, and well-maintained. The views of the green hills surrounding the property are absolutely stunning and provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation. A major plus: the actual location and atmosphere are even better than the pictures suggest! The photos on the website are modest compared to the wonderful reality. "When we received the keys, we were given all the necessary information about our stay. The owner was very kind and even offered us an apartment with a better view. I really appreciate that what I saw in the photos was actually even nicer in reality. The chalet looks exactly like in the pictures (including the equipment) and so does the surrounding area. The location is absolutely perfect for hiking trips – if you want to visit the Logar Valley or Velika Planina, it’s about a 90-minute drive by car. I also appreciated the convenient parking right next to the chalet."

The staff was not to helpful when getting us a bajaji or boda. The restaurant food was amazing, even though paying additional 2$ for eggs for breakfast is way to overpriced compared with what you get at other hotels.

"Namiņš bija ideāli piemērots, plašs 6 cilvēku nakšņošanai. Pilnībā aprīkota virtuve vakariņu pagatavošanai. Ļoti interesanta, savdabīga atrašanās vieta, kurā radīta ilūzija, ka tas viens pats atrodas meža vidū."

"This accommodation is absolutely wonderful! The house is beautiful and very clean. Even though there is no air conditioning, it stays surprisingly cool. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are also dogs, cats, and chickens on the property, which we really enjoyed. They are super sweet. The property manager, Jésus, is such a kind person. He is always available and happy to help if you need anything. I would definitely recommend this place."

The only downside is that it can get quite noisy. Every morning around six, the school bus drives through the main street honking loudly. There are also a lot of trucks passing by, which can be pretty noisy. On top of that, the rooster loves standing right next to the bedroom window to wake you up. Since there is a school next door, you will also hear music and kids early in the morning.

"This is a place where everything works -- gas, electric, water. Enough pots and pans for everyone. We enjoyed the stay. The place was clean, sheets were clean, towels and soap present, and there was working cleaning tools to keep the place clean. The host had thought of everything. The WiFi was superb. And the park outside is well-maintained and enjoyable."

A work desk was missed. Indoor parking not available, but the are is quite safe and secure.

"Very nice accommodation. Comfortable, clean with all needed amenities and more! The swimming pool is a pleasure and the view on the palm trees, a real treat. The place is very secure, and perfectly located being very close to the city center on one side and restaurants and bars on the other side (few minutes walk).."

"Wonderful little getaway, greeted by the most charming host and beautiful, peaceful, tranquil surroundings. Saw the sunrise with coffee and breakfast on the private terrace/decking area. A must if you are in the area."

"La cabaña es preciosa. Está muy bien equipada tanto dentro como fuera de la casa. Contacto directo con la naturaleza."

A nosotros nos tocaron días de lluvia y la calle para llegar se pone bastante difícil de transitar. Lo único que no funcionaba bien es la canilla de la cocina, que estaba suelta.

I would like to suggest to have more small spoon. There were only 2 so not enough for a family of 5

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.
