Cama e Café (B&Bs) em São Tomé e Príncipe

"We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.

"Rose and the rest of the staff - they couldn’t do more to help and to make our stay the best! The place is in lovely old-style buildings with beautifully furnished rooms in a peaceful location. We loved the short cycle on complementary bikes to West Bay for the sunsets."

"We had a pleasant stay for our ski week. Ski slopes are very close and can be reached within minutes by foot. Our host was very kind and helpful in everything. The restaurant under the accomodation serves delicious food, perfect for after ski dinners. No noise can be heard above from restaurant. Rooms are very clean and well equipped, we had everything needed for our daily routine. We will probably return later on."

"They upgraded us to a better room in the Dar Alma hotel with a sea view. It was gorgeous, and the breakfast was delicious. One of the best places to stay in Tyre."

The flush in the bathroom didn't work, and they never came to fix it during our stay. Before arriving, they were very insistent in calling and asking for our arrival time, so I would reduce the communication with the staff if possible.

"De tudo. A localização é óptima, no centro de Marsaxlokk, com estacionamento gratuito na rua sempre disponível. É uma cidade muito bonita e ao mesmo tempo tranquila. O pequeno almoço é muito equilibrado e com qualidade. Quarto limpo e cómodo, com tudo o que é necessário. Os anfitriões são simpáticos e sempre prestáveis. Vista fantástica do terraço/piscina. "The owner, Margie, sent comprehensive details for entry to the property and made us very welcome on arrival. Good room (4), lovely breakfast, friendly staff, communal rooms to sit in and all you need for the beach provided. The beach, restaurants and a supermarket all within walking distance."

Entrance is hard to find, I first thought I was in the wrong place.

"Clean, spacious, quiet and best value for the money I've been able to find around these parts. The stores are close, parking is easy and available. Nothing to complain about!"

It was a bit cold in the room even with the radiators turned all the way up, luckily there were two blankets so I still got a great night sleep!

"We had the best time of our trip here! Finally some connecting with other travellers during a group dinner. The hosts are super sweet and make you feel like at home. The rooms and beds are superb and the view is incredible. Definitely recommend!"
