"Hotel bom. Vista muito bonita. James foi bastante solícito em nossa estadia."

Não é nem que não gostei, mas o único ponto de atenção é a localização, para chegar a primeira vez é uma verdadeira aventura subir na montanha íngrime. Só se hospede se for alugar um carro.

"We traveled on our bicycles and Highland lodge was the perfect stop between Afriski and Mokhontlong. Rooms were very large and so clean. Bed was very large and comfy. Staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend 👌🏼"

We would have enjoyed a desert after our dinner but it was not so important.

There was a group that arrived without booking and there was not enough food, so the host had to go shopping and the dinner was late. There was enough food for everyone but not much variety for warm dishes, comparing with other guesthouses on the trail. The guesthouse is located off the main trail and the trail is a bit tricky.

"The balcony was vast, convenient for reading a book or taking a drink/meal, and with excellent view. The hosts were cordial and extremely helpful."

Actually, description was ambiguous: contrary to expectation, the toilet, bathroom and kitchen were shared (with the hosts and with the renter from the other room that is hired within the property), not private.

"We liked the quiet, simple place which was was we needed for 1 night."

Luckily there was some parking available on the street, otherwise we might have a problem. No dedicated parking for the hotel.

As a grown up solo traveller, who is oftentimes ready to accept challenging environments, I cannot make any critical remarks. Right now due to the russian full scale invasion, hospitality businesses all over Ukraine are struggling for survival, which makes critical remarks even more misplaced. The bottom line is – I liked the property.

"We had a pleasant stay for our ski week. Ski slopes are very close and can be reached within minutes by foot. Our host was very kind and helpful in everything. The restaurant under the accomodation serves delicious food, perfect for after ski dinners. No noise can be heard above from restaurant. Rooms are very clean and well equipped, we had everything needed for our daily routine. We will probably return later on."

"I arrived late and the taxi driver was unsure of the location. However the owner ( manager) came out to meet us and showed me the cabin, there was a language barrier as I don’t speak French, however with the help of google translate this was overcome. The breakfast was good and plentiful with egg, dates, yoghurt and bread with a juice and coffee. The owner was very helpful despite the language, the cabins are functional and good fun and first thing I walked (30 seconds) to the beautiful beach at sunrise!"

He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.
